A Community of Healing and Renewal

A Community of  Healing and Renewal

As a church family, we believe that God is in the business of making all things new and that includes us! There is no sickness in heaven and so as we pray in the words of the Lord’s Prayer ‘Your Kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven’ we expect that to happen. We are a community which is continually calling down Heaven to earth.

We are delighted to host two teams from Healing Rooms who offer prayer specifically twice a week for all aspects of healing. We also offer prayers for healing during our Sunday morning services.

In addition to these formal situations, we encourage all of our church family to bring Heaven to earth just where they are by whatever means God puts at their disposal. Practically, this means that we want to support and bless those who are involved in healthcare at any level but it also means that we are constantly looking for ways to bring healing into the lives of others by what we do and say.

We also recognise that for all of us, there are times when we hurt on the inside rather than the outside. In the past we have offered formal inner healing ministry in the shape of Bethel Sozo. We are pleased to say that we have now begun to develop Saorsa ministry, based around some of the sozo tools but which is increasingly taking on a particularly Scottish flavour. In addition to these formal ministry appointments, we offer pastoral ministry to anyone who needs a space to process and pray.

We value all people because they are made in the image of God and want to call out the ‘God deposit’ in everyone. This means that as well as being a community of healing we are also a community of renewal. We want to be a place where people can come and be refreshed as they allow the Holy Spirit to minister to them. We aim to make space available for this whenever we meet and in whatever way is appropriate.

We encourage each other to take time to read and study Scripture and to spend regular time praying and seeking God. We are not content to stay where we are spiritually but want to continually be searching for other facets of God and digging deep into all that He has for us.

The result of this is that we are constantly being renewed and becoming more surrendered in our relationship with the Lord. We invite folks to join us in this journey for however long they are able to walk with us.
