Book-keeper (Whiteinch Transformation & Whiteinch Church of Scotland)

Whiteinch Transformation is growing as a charity which develops and incubates a range of services.

The book-keeper is responsible for all financial transactions, including accurate record keeping and payment of invoices for the finances of Whiteinch Transformation and the organisations it supports. 

Tasks

  • Lodge all income and expenditure and journals into Sage 50 Accounts 2011 Accounting System
  • Ensure timely payment of invoices and expenses
  • Process Payments by cheque and Online Banking
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations
  • Produce monthly Gift Aid return to HMRC online including allocations across appropriate accounts when payment received
  • Provide WT Trustees and its supported organisations with regular updates on Financial Performance
  • Monitor key project performance against budget
  • Assist in budgeting and grant applications, both overall and on specific projects
  • Lodge income with bank as cover during Administrator’s annual leave

Working Relationships

This post will be expected to work closely with the Resource Worker, Treasurer and appropriate management to produce regular updates for the Board and to meet legal reporting deadlines.

Terms and Conditions

  • Number of hours: 7.5 hours per week
  • Remuneration: £10.50 per hour
  • Annual leave: 25 days per annum plus 10 public holidays pro rata, rising by 1 extra day per year to a maximum of 30 days
  • Place of Work: Unit 18, Barclay Curle House, 739 South Street, Glasgow G14 0BX
